Compatibility: Mac OS X 10.3, Mac OS X 10.4, Mac OS X 10.5, Mac OS X The Driver you installed is intended for Mac OS X 10.5 or lower, and is not compatible with Lion. what gives? Is there a way for me to check whether the scanner is actually working and/or if this is a HW problem? Or is this driver just not compatible with the current OSX Lion (I have 10.7.3)? IMO the USB connection should be fine since I'm able to print normally. I have also tried the "Reset printing system" option from OSX's Preferences > Print & Scan > right-clicking the printer list. I have unistalled the HP software with the uninstall option, and re-installed. Needless to say, running these apps only results in a popup saying "No scanners are found." Acrobat shows the printer name in the File > Create > PDF from Scanner dialog, but hitting the Scan button results in a popup saying "Error while interacting with scanner: the selected scanner was not found." Furthermore, it appears that the setup program actually does install the HP software package, since I can find apps such as HP Director and HP Scan in the Applications folder. When running the HP Laserjet M1120 Series.pkg package, the HP Setup Assistant app stops with a popup that says "You must have administrative privilegies to configure a device." This is a bit surprising since I have just entered my admin password, in addition to the fact that there is only one user account on the computer, which obviously has admin rights. Ok, so I downloaded the HP Laserjet Full Feature Software and Driver from here, just to notice that I ran into more problems. I've tried with Acrobat X Pro, Preview and Image Transfer apps. However, the scanning functionality doesn't show up anywhere and I cannot get it to work from the iMac or the other computer.

Printing works from the iMac, and from another networked computer. The printer driver installs fine from Preferences > Print & Scan. I'm having serious trouble with trying to setup a HP Laserjet M1120 MFP device on an iMac i7 running OSX Lion.
