There is a little more to learn over TmpgEnc but it's worth it because it avoids all the issues later. You can set it to split the resulting file as it encodes to fit on numerous cd's. The load the AVS file into CCE and modify any settings as required then encode the video file.Īfterwards, extract the audio from the original source using free TmpgEnc or whatever will extract to an MP2 file. Then use FitCD to load up the source and calculate what you are trying to convert to and save it as a AVS project file. The results are surprisingly consistent and as long as you understand codecs and their effect on playability of your media files then you shouldn't have any issues. About 50% of all files were encoded right the first time. 3:2 pulldown issues, bad multiplexing, and poorly converted audio+video are a few issues.
I have used it for the past year and have had so many problems. If you are willing, avoid TmpgEnc Plus 2.5.
